For fans of The Handmaid's Tale, we have exciting news. The final season (Season 6) of the acclaimed series will premiere in April 2025, and it seems fans won't have to wait long for the conclusion. A new adaptation from Margaret Atwood’s universe is already on the horizon. Per Deadline, a sequel to The Handmaid’s Tale, set 15 years after the key events of the original series, is in the works, once again under Hulu’s banner.
The sequel, The Testaments, will focus on three women, one of whom is the familiar Aunt Lydia (played by Ann Dowd) from the original series. She will be joined by Presumed Innocent star Chase Infiniti, who will play Agnes. The third actress's character remains a mystery, but it’s confirmed that one of the main roles will be Agnes.
However, the big question remains: Will June (played by Elisabeth Moss) return for the new series? Since the final season is still some time away, it seems the creators are holding off on any official announcements. We can only hope that after the series finale, many of these questions will finally be answered.

The showrunner's chair will be occupied by Bruce Miller, who returns to lead the series, alongside fellow executive producer Warren Littlefield.
