Additionally, the film’s decision to use CGI for the Seven Dwarfs instead of casting actors with dwarfism drew criticism for not representing the dwarf community.
There was also backlash regarding political views, as lead actress Gal Gadot’s support for Israel clashed with some viewers’ political stances. These factors have fueled widespread calls for a boycott.
