There is still a long time left until the release of Avatar 3, but James Cameron is already gradually revealing details of the new film. It has become known that an actor from the Harry Potter franchise has joined the franchise, and his role is so unusual that even the most attentive viewers will hardly be able to immediately recognize him in the frame.
Who is this mysterious actor?
We are talking about David Thewlis, whom many remember from his role as Professor Remus Lupin in Harry Potter. But in the new Avatar, he will have a completely different role: he will play Peilak, the leader of a new clan of Na'vi — wind traders.
This clan lives in the air and uses giant creatures resembling jellyfish to float above the expanses of Pandora. Judging by the first shots, their lifestyle is different from everything we have seen in previous films, and Peilak himself is a bright, charismatic figure and not at all like the traditional Na'vi leaders.

Why will he be so unrecognizable?
First, like all Na'vi, he was transformed using CGI technology. Second, his character is nothing like the quiet, brooding Lupin from Harry Potter. Peilak wears a striking, colorful outfit, his posture is impeccable, and his manners are refined. The film's costume designer Deborah L. Scott described him this way:
"He looks incredibly regal, but there's a rock star quality to him."
By the way, despite initial rumors that Thewlis would play one of the antagonists, it turns out that Peilak is not a villain at all.
So when Avatar 3 finally comes out, don't be surprised when the end credits reveal that this pompous, flamboyant Na'vi is the same Lupin from Harry Potter.
