Tim Allen is sharing intriguing insights about the upcoming Toy Story 5, where he will once again voice Buzz Lightyear. While promoting his comedy tour, the actor revealed some details about the film's plot and hinted at an “unbelievable” opening scene featuring his character.
In an interview with WIVB, Allen mentioned that the story will focus significantly on Jessie, the beloved cowgirl doll voiced by Joan Cusack since her debut in Toy Story 2. He noted,
“Tom [Hanks] and I do — Woody and I — do realign,” suggesting a pivotal moment for both characters.

In a December 2024 interview with Collider, Allen shared that he recently completed a lengthy recording session for Buzz. He expressed excitement about returning to the role, stating,
“It’s really, really weird to get back in it.”
He praised the sequel's clever narrative, emphasizing that it wasn’t just about financial success but rather a brilliant script that brought him and Hanks back.
