Stills from the series 'M. Il figlio del secolo'

Fresh premieres on streaming platforms: a historical drama, a survival western, and a gripping spy thriller — something for everyone.

The world of TV series is constantly introducing new projects, and this week has brought three intriguing debuts to the screen. M. Il figlio del secolo, American Primeval, and Black Doves are shows in different genres that can capture the attention of a wide and diverse audience.

American Primeval

American Primeval takes viewers to the early 19th century, where scattered groups of settlers battle for territory and the right to survive. At the heart of the story are a mother and son struggling to endure the harsh conditions of the frontier.

This project, initiated by Peter Berg in 2022, was delayed due to the actors' strike. The main roles are played by Taylor Kitsch, Betty Gilpin, Jai Courtney, and Shea Whigham.

Still from the series 'M. Il figlio del secolo'

The series M. Il figlio del secolo portrays the life of Benito Mussolini, from his youth to his rise to power. The audience will see how he evolved from a patriot and leader into a dictator.

Directed by Joe Wright, known for Pride and Prejudice, and produced by Paolo Sorrentino, the show delivers a deep dive into Mussolini's era and personality. Luca Marinelli, a two-time Venice Film Festival winner, plays the lead role. According to Wright, Marinelli is one of the greatest actors in Italy.

Black Doves

Black Doves is an electrifying spy drama that delves into the complex world of international espionage. The story follows Helen (Keira Knightley), a skilled covert operative torn between her secret life and her family. When a mission goes awry, she is forced to team up with a mysterious ally, played by Ben Whishaw, to uncover a conspiracy that threatens everything she holds dear.

Created by Joe Barton, the series combines high-stakes action with emotional depth, exploring themes of loyalty, love, and sacrifice.
