Where did her powers come from?

Its leader, LeBlanc, is an illusionist who seems to live forever and manipulates rulers across the world.
Mel, as a true politician, seeks to uncover her mother Ambessa’s dark past connected to the "Black Rose." She learns that her brother Kinho was merely a distraction, and that the real "weapon" with magical gifts is herself.
Mel's new powers
It is during a battle with her mother that Mel accidentally activates arcane magic. This becomes a moment of revelation: she realizes that she can wield magic herself. Her powers are tied to protection and control. She can create shields, reflect attacks, and penetrate the minds of her enemies to bend their will. When Mel attacks, she releases golden beams and can create destructive magical spaces resembling fields of thorns.
These abilities appear to be the perfect set for a new champion in League of Legends.
Interestingly, the creators of Arcane have already hinted at future spin-offs dedicated to Noxus, Ionia, and Demacia. And it is in Noxus that Mel returns at the end of the second season. It seems we will witness her journey to fully unlock her magical powers.
