It seems that someone has risen from the dead. The new Scream 7 film will surprise viewers with the return of an actor whose character was killed off in one of the previous installments.
In Scream 3 (2000), Roman Bridger, the main antagonist played by Scott Foley, dies after a final confrontation with Sidney Prescott. After a brutal fight, Sidney stabs Roman multiple times in the chest, seemingly killing him. However, when he suddenly gets back up, Dewey Riley shoots him in the head, finally killing him for good. His death follows the horror movie rule that the killer must always be shot in the head to make sure they’re truly dead.
Per Deadline, Foley’s role remains a mystery, but he won’t be the only familiar face returning to the Scream universe. Franchise veterans Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox are back, alongside Scream (2022) and Scream 6 stars Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown.

Franchise creator Kevin Williamson, who launched Scream in 1996, is taking the helm for this installment. Scream 7 is currently filming in Atlanta, and all indications suggest Williamson aims to refocus the story on Sidney. She’ll have at least one child in the film, portrayed by May, though rumors hint she might have more than one.
