If you're a Marvel fan, then the third episode of the Daredevil: Born Again project is a real treasure trove of Easter eggs. But to spot them, you need to be 10/10 familiar not only with the old MCU films, but also with most of the spinoffs.
The Multiverse Comes into Play
Let's start with the easiest one Spider-Man. In the third episode, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) defends Hector Ayala, aka White Tiger, in court. During the hearing, Murdock mentions a list of police officers that White Tiger saved. Officer Morales is among them. Sound familiar? It's not a coincidence.
In the comics, Jefferson Morales is the father of Miles Morales, the alternate universe Spider-Man. Recent adaptations, including Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and the Marvel’s Spider-Man game for PlayStation 4, have portrayed Jefferson as a police officer. So this isn’t just a coincidence, but a neat nod to the Marvel web that TV shows haven’t quite yet been able to weave. But that’s not all.

Hulk smash, Hulk… drink!
The episode also contains a barely noticeable reference to the Hulk. In one of the shots, an advertisement for Pingo Doce, a soda that appeared in the 2008 film The Incredible Hulk, flashes in the background. In the film, Bruce Banner (then played by Edward Norton) worked at a bottling plant for the drink. It was there that he cut his hand, and a drop of his gamma-contaminated blood fell into the bottle.
This resulted in the poisoning of the man and the revelation of Banner's location to General Ross. It may seem like a small thing, but it's a detail like this that shows Marvel is continuing to weave elements from its earlier films into its new projects.
Who knows, maybe in future episodes of Born Again we'll see not only flirty references to the Avengers, but also an appearance by one of them?
