The franchise about adventures of the wizard Harry Potter is associated by many with childhood, fairy tales, and magic. To achieve this effect, the creators of the film had to cut many moments that could scare young viewers.
The scene in the Malfoy Manor turned out to be one of the most frightening in the series of films, as we saw Bellatrix, played by Helena Bonham Carter, attacking Hermione Granger.
"Emma Watson, who played the role of Hermione, became so immersed in her character that the episode had to be cut."
Emma's screams were so heart-wrenching that the film would have received an 18+ rating in the USA.
The scene in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, where Bathilda Bagshot suddenly transforms into Voldemort's snake Nagini, was also removed from the film, as it was deemed too scary for children's cinema.
