Sebastian Stan has certainly had a good year—two films featuring the actor in leading roles have received significant attention and now potentially could bring him a couple of statuettes in the upcoming awards season in Hollywood. While the biopic The Apprentice about Donald Trump's early years did not impress critics much, A Different Man, on the contrary, has left everyone in complete awe — and very soon, this black comedy will be able to expand its audience by 'landing' on streaming platforms.
A Different Man will be available to watch online as early as January.
The film has traveled through various festivals throughout 2024, and now it will finally be accessible to the general public — sources report that A Different Man is expected to appear on streaming services on January 17. The film was produced by the well-known studio A24, and unlike The Apprentice, whose premiere unfortunately coincided with the recent elections in the U.S., this film allowed Stan to fully showcase the wide range of his acting talent. Mostly known for his role in superhero films from Marvel, this time Stan opted for a dramatic performance, which critics received more than warmly.

The psychological thriller will tell the story of the challenges of the acting profession.
The drama that could earn Sebastian Stan the coveted Oscar has received a digital release date. The plot of A Different Man revolves around a young actor named Edward, whose appearance radically changes due to a serious illness. Although his external flaws do not hinder him from being in demand in his profession, Edward decides to undergo plastic surgery, after which he becomes a true heartthrob. Over time, the euphoria of his own attractiveness fades, and Edward realizes that with a beautiful face, he has gained nothing — and even lost a lot.
