Jamie Foxx has cast doubt over the future of Back in Action. His condition reportedly left the film’s director deeply unsettled.
At the time, neither director Seth Gordon nor Netflix fully understood what had happened to Jamie Foxx or the severity of the situation. However, the ailment of one of the lead actors was quite life threatening. Foxx experienced a brain bleed that caused a stroke, leading to 20 days of memory loss.
“I didn't feel hopeless. I was just scared for him. I have had family that have had similar things happen. He's now talked about it in his [Netflix] special, so it's not a secret, but it's brain stuff, and it required surgery. It's like the scariest kind of surgery to have,” Gordon recalled his fears during the recent interview to Movieweb.
However, the movie is remarkable not only for the obstacles it faced but also for marking Cameron Diaz's return to acting after nearly a decade away from the spotlight. Back in Action is a high-energy action-comedy directed by Seth Gordon, known for his work on Horrible Bosses. The film stars Jamie Foxx and promises exciting action and fun humor. Diaz's return is highly anticipated, as her last movie was Annie in 2014.
