Warner Bros. has released the second trailer for the science fiction film Mickey 17, the new directorial project by Bong Joon-ho (Parasite, Memories of Murder). Apparently, there were some problems during post-production, as the release has already been postponed four times, but it was recently announced that the long-awaited film will debut at the Berlin Film Festival, which starts on February 13.
The action takes place in the future, when humanity has begun to colonize other planets. The main character is a naive guy Mickey (Robert Pattinson), who agreed to become an "expendable material" during dangerous alien expeditions conducted by scientists. Arriving on an ice-covered planet, he carries out dangerous tasks, usually ending in his death. However, thanks to special technology, Mickey constantly acquires a new body, retaining his personality and most of his memories. After some time, Mickey, having met his double, starts a riot.
The film is a sci-fi thriller, though it's clear there will be plenty of humor. Pattinson and the main cast include Mark Ruffalo, Toni Collette, and Steven Yeun.
