The historic venue welcomed guests for a ceremony marking its reopening on Saturday, December 7, following a fire that destroyed its roof in 2019. Among the international dignitaries in attendance were President-elect Donald Trump and Prince William. Pharrell also made an appearance, performing his 2013 hit single 'Happy' alongside Voices Of Fire, a 70-member gospel choir led by his uncle Bishop Ezekiel Williams. After the event, Pharrell took to Instagram to express his gratitude for being a part of such a historic moment.
'An honour to perform at the reopening with @VoicesOfFire,' — Pharrell wrote on Instagram after the appearance. 'A historic moment we’re so blessed to have been a part of. Merci.'
