People Watched and Raged: What Margot Robbie Looked Like in Her First Film – It was Recognized as One of the Worst

Margot Robbie

It is only with difficulty that you can recognize the star.

Just 15 years ago, Margot Robbie's name was more associated with episodic roles in soap operas than with the cinematic elite. The Australian actress's path from supporting characters to the status of the most sought-after (and highly paid!) Hollywood star is a story of talent, perseverance and strategic choice of roles.

But few will remember her first appearance on screen. Now it is difficult to recognize the most famous screen blonde in the USA in her debut film.

The beginning of Margot Robbie's career

In 2008, an unknown 17-year-old Australian Margot Robbie appeared in the film Vigilante. Film critics unanimously recognized this film as one of the worst of that period.

Her character Cassandra appeared on screen for only a few minutes, for the young actress it was her first professional experience. The film collected a crushing 2.6/10 on IMDB, becoming an object of ridicule. But even in a weak release, Robbie demonstrated naturalness in front of the camera and emotional commitment.

That same year, she starred in the Australian soap opera Neighbors, which made her quite a noticeable actress in her homeland. And then Robbie made an incredible transformation - from a performer in a cable TV series to one of the most influential people in Hollywood.

In 2011, she moved to the United States and played a stewardess in Pan Am. This was the first step to worldwide recognition. Real fame came to her with the image of Naomi LaPaglia in The Wolf of Wall Street in 2013. Her candid scene with Leonardo DiCaprio instantly became iconic. And the roles of Harley Quinn in the DC universe and Barbie confirmed Robbie's status as the main blonde in Hollywood.
