The wait is over! The dashing Brad Pitt stars in the Formula 1 movie's official trailer. Just to clarify — this is the first official trailer!
Pitt plays Sonny Hayes, a retired F1 driver who’s been written off by many as a has-been — a guy living in a van, a gambling addict, the "best that never was." However, his long-time friend, Ruben (Javier Bardem), the owner of the APXGP Formula One team, still believes in him. Ruben wants to pair Sonny with his rookie driver, Joshua "Noah" Pearce (Damson Idris), a raw talent with little experience in high-level competition, and shake up the racing world.
At first, the two don’t see eye to eye.

"There’s this old guy... he’s a prick, but he’s quick," says Noah.
Yet, as the story unfolds, they form an unlikely but powerful partnership, quickly understanding each other’s strengths.
It has all the makings of a classic "forgotten hero comes back to conquer" story. But let’s wait and see how it all plays out.
The upcoming Formula 1 movie is scheduled for theatrical release on June 27, 2025, in the United States and Canada, with international release on June 25, 2025. Directed by John Krasinski (known for Top Gun: Maverick), the Formula 1 movie also features a star-studded cast, including Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies and Kim Bodnia.
