Netflix will Have to Bend Over: DiCaprio will Agree to Star in the Sequel of One of Tarantino's Films on Only One Condition

Leonardo DiCaprio in 'Once upon a time in Hollywood'

The Hollywood star's requests are appropriate.

Leonardo DiCaprio may try on the role of Rick Dalton again — but he's in no hurry. Despite the big names in the sequel to Once upon a Time in Hollywood, including Quentin Tarantino, who wrote the script, and David Fincher, who is ready to take the director's chair, the actor is in no hurry to agree. But everything is going to the point that Netflix will make concessions.

According to rumors, everything depends on the fee: the creators of the picture offered the star $ 3 million for the day of filming, because the role is planned to be episodic, but DiCaprio wants more — $ 4 million.

At first glance, it seems strange that the actor is considering this project at all. The original film Once upon a Time in Hollywood, released in 2019, did not become an unequivocal favorite of the public. Yes, it's not Tarantino's worst work, but it's not his best either.

Adding to the intrigue is the fact that DiCaprio has traditionally shunned sequels. He almost never returns to the characters he played, which makes this story particularly interesting. Moreover, the project is planned not as a direct sequel, but as a new chapter with familiar characters.

The main character, according to unofficial information, will be Cliff Booth, and Rick Dalton will appear only for a short time — but it seems DiCaprio wants conditions worthy of the main role even for this.
