Benicio Del Toro is keeping the Marvel door wide open. While promoting Wes Anderson’s The Phoenician Scheme on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the Oscar-winning actor dropped a little Marvel bombshell. When asked whether he might return as The Collector, Del Toro teased,
"There’s more on the table. There’s definitely more on the table. It’s not up to me, but I think there is."
Del Toro first appeared as The Collector in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), offering a quirky, enigmatic performance that stood out even among cosmic chaos. The character also popped up briefly in Thor: The Dark World and Avengers: Infinity War, before being seemingly wiped out by Thanos.

But in the comics, The Collector — also known as Taneleer Tivan — is one of the oldest beings in the universe, a near-immortal Elder obsessed with hoarding rare beings and objects to preserve creation itself. He has clashed with the Avengers and even held his own against cosmic giants like Galactus.
Could he return in Secret Wars? Or maybe cross paths with Loki or the TVA?
With the multiverse expanding and old players returning, Marvel might just be ready to let this underrated villain take centre stage.

After all, he warned us: there’s more on the table.
