The actress Judi Dench laughs at her ailment. Even in such a serious condition, the celebrity doesn't lose her sense of humor.
In recent years, the 90-year-old Oscar-winning actress has opened up about the difficulties she's faced due to her declining eyesight, which has impacted her ability to work. Back in June 2024, Judi hinted that her worsening vision might have led to her retirement.
In a recent interview, she shared that she can no longer attend events by herself because of her vision loss.
Speaking with Trinny Woodall on the Fearless podcast, Judi confessed that she was never fond of attending large red carpet events solo, but now, she doesn't have to anymore.
“I’m always nervous before going to something. I have no idea why… I’m not good at being on my own at all, nor would I be now. And fortunately, I don’t have to now because I pretend to have no eyesight.”
Despite these challenges, Judi’s career has spanned over six decades, with iconic roles in films like Shakespeare in Love and the James Bond series. Known for her strength and ability to bring depth to her roles, she has received numerous awards and nominations throughout her legendary career.
