What is known about the series?
Sherlock and Daughter is a detective thriller that takes Sherlock Holmes into unusual circumstances for him. The plot revolves around a young American woman, Amelia, played by Blue Hunt (The Originals). After the mysterious murder of her mother, she learns that her missing father may be Sherlock Holmes himself.
Despite the differences in their characters and backgrounds, they will have to join forces to uncover a global conspiracy, find the mother's killer and find out whether Amelia is really the daughter of the great detective.
Sherlock Holmes will be played by David Thewlis, known for his role as Remus Lupin in the Harry Potter film series. His adversary, Professor Moriarty, will be played by Dougray Scott.
