Ariana Grande has revealed a surprising connection between Wicked and the beloved HBO series Sex and the City. In the film’s digital bonus commentary, the pop star confirmed that David Eigenberg, best known for playing Steve Brady, has a hidden cameo in the movie.
Eigenberg lends his voice to a Tamarin Monkey, delivering a single line of dialogue: "A solicitor was sacked just for arguing a case." Grande praised the moment, calling it "the best line in the whole thing," even mimicking Eigenberg’s signature raspy tone.
The cameo takes place about 42 minutes into the film, during a pivotal scene where Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) visits her professor, Dr. Dillamond (Peter Dinklage). The goat professor discusses the growing prejudice against Oz’s talking animals, setting the stage for the film’s central themes.
