The 21-second teaser, set to unveil the official trailer next week, opens with a relaxed DiCaprio enjoying a drink when he is abruptly startled by his pregnant wife, played by Teyana Taylor, who begins firing her automatic rifle into the distance. Amidst the chaos, we catch a glimpse of their newborn child in a crib, accompanied by a voice-over asking, “What are you gonna do about this baby?”
In another striking scene, the child, now portrayed as a young woman by Chase Infiniti, is shown aggressively firing her own weapon, highlighting a family tradition. “Just when you think you got a handle on things,” a narrator reflects, as the teaser concludes with the film's title.
Originally set for an August 8, 2025 release, the film's new date allows for a global rollout in IMAX theaters, giving Warner Bros. time to install projection systems for VistaVision. One Battle After Another also stars Sean Penn, Regina Hall, Alana Haim, and Benicio del Toro, and is loosely inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 novel Vineland. Anderson wrote the script and will produce alongside Sara Murphy and Adam Somner, both of whom collaborated with him on Licorice Pizza. The film was shot in California and Texas and is being developed under Warner Bros., led by Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy.
The highly anticipated Warner Bros. film finally confirmed release date of September 26, 2025.
