Jensen Ackles is back — and this time, he's bringing the heat to Los Angeles. The Supernatural star just dropped the first official behind-the-scenes photos from his brand-new series Countdown on Instagram, and let’s just say, he’s not in Kansas anymore.
Dressed in full tactical gear and wearing that signature no-nonsense stare, Ackles teases what’s shaping up to be one of Prime Video’s most high-octane shows of the year. Countdown, created by Chicago Fire mastermind Derek Haas, follows LAPD officer Mark Meachum as he dives headfirst into a murder investigation that spirals into a full-blown city-wide conspiracy. Think corruption, danger, and enough plot twists to keep your popcorn refilled.
Filmed across gritty downtown backstreets and sun-drenched rooftops, Countdown looks every bit the stylish thriller we’ve been craving. And if the Instagram photos are any hint, Ackles is clearly in his element — bruised, brooding, and absolutely magnetic.
The series boasts a slick ensemble cast – including Jessica Camacho, Eric Dane, and Violett Beane — and is set to premiere on June 25, 2025, with the first three episodes dropping all at once (you’re welcome, binge-watchers).
