Sir David Attenborough is set to reflect on his remarkable life in a new documentary focused on the health of the world's oceans.As he approaches his 99th birthday on May 9, Attenborough candidly acknowledges that he is "nearing the end of his life," according to Express.co.uk.

With an impressive 80-year television career, Attenborough discusses his future while filming Ocean with David Attenborough, which is slated for release on Disney+ in late 2025. In the documentary, he shares profound insights, stating,

"Now, as I approach the end of my life, we know the opposite is true. After living for nearly a hundred years on this planet, I now understand that the most important place on Earth is not on land, but at sea."

He previously served as controller of BBC Two, overseeing Europe’s first color broadcasts.

For over 70 years, he has been regarded as the voice of natural history programming, captivating audiences with acclaimed series like Life on Earth, The Private Life of Plants, and The Blue Planet. His contributions to science and media are so significant that various animals, plant species, and even a constellation bear his name. Throughout his travels, Attenborough has fostered a deep appreciation for the natural world among viewers worldwide.
