Only One Series Was Watched by More than 100 Million People in 2024: The Top 20 Includes Netflix, Anime and… Peppa Pig

Stills from the series 'Fool Me Once', 'Peppa Pig'

Almost each of these projects can be completed in an evening.

The ranking of the most watched series on Netflix in 2024 is full of surprises. Even the leaders are surprising: in first place is a thriller, and in the top 20, there is unexpectedly an anime and even a cartoon series for the little ones.

The absolute record holder, according to the portal, was the series Fool Me Once with a stunning 107 million views. This tense story about Maya Stern, who is trying to solve the mystery of her husband's murder, won the hearts of viewers around the world. Secrets of the family past, shocking discoveries on a children's camera and a deadly investigation made the show a real sensation.

In second place is the 3rd season of Bridgerton with 91.9 million views. The continuation of the scandalous saga about love, intrigue and status in society did not disappoint fans, offering another round of drama and romance.

Still from the film 'Baby Reindeer'

The third place goes to the series Baby Reindeer, which gained 87 million viewers. The touching but dark story about a stalker and an unsuccessful comedian surprised with the depth of the plot and strong acting.

There was also room for anime in the top 20. Demon Slayer with 34 million views took 13th place, and the film adaptation of One Piece took 15th place with a result of 30 million.

But the most unexpected star was Peppa Pig. The only animated series in the rating secured 17th place with 27.5 million views, reminding us that children's shows can be no less popular than adult dramas.
