At the London premiere of Mickey 17, Robert Pattinson opened up about his unconventional preparation methods for movie roles. Known for his intense commitment to characters, Pattinson revealed that he often wanders around practicing lines in various accents, much to the confusion of those around him. "People always ask me, 'Why do you speak like a taxi driver in a German accent?'" he joked.
Despite the demanding premise of Mickey 17, Pattinson described the filming process as one of the easiest and most enjoyable experiences in his career. Directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Bong Joon Ho, the sci-fi comedy follows Mickey Barnes, an employee who is repeatedly cloned and sacrificed for the sake of his job. Pattinson, a long-time admirer of Bong, expressed excitement about working with the director, calling the script "unusual, bizarre, and funny."

Pattinson, who recently became a father with fiancée Suki Waterhouse, shared that his character in the film is someone with minimal expectations from life, pushed to the brink by the circumstances he faces daily. The actor likened the role to playing an "evil brother or twin," highlighting the dark humor and complexity embedded in the character.
The film, based on Edward Ashton’s novel Mickey 7, also stars Steven Yeun,Toni Collette and Mark Ruffalo. With its blend of dark comedy, science fiction, and thought-provoking themes, Mickey 17 promises to deliver a unique cinematic experience when it hits theaters on March 7.
