Viola Davis takes command in her latest action-thriller G20, portraying U.S. President Danielle Sutton in a gripping tale of survival and heroism. The film, premiering April 10 on Prime Video, follows President Sutton as she battles terrorists who seize the G20 summit in South Africa.
The trailer opens with President Sutton arriving at the summit with her two children. But chaos ensues when attackers, led by Antony Starr (The Boys), storm the venue, holding world leaders hostage under the guise of a plan called Project Deepfake — a scheme to disrupt global financial markets. Narrowly escaping capture, Sutton must outwit the enemy to protect her family and defend both her nation and international leaders.
Behind the Scenes: Vision and Direction
"This is Viola Davis as you’ve never seen her — heroically kicking tons of ass in a global thrill ride," said director Patricia Riggen.
"With G20, I wanted to create a classic, edge-of-your-seat action film that reflects the high stakes of our modern, technology-driven world. I hope to give audiences an experience that will captivate them from start to finish."
