The Boy’s star Jack Quaid knows how to talk about bad movies without being too harsh. He joked about his "love" for Sony's recent Spider-Man villain films with his usual humor.
In a Movie Cabinet segment, Jack was the first guest on Josh Horowitz’s new interview show, where he picked movies in his typical funny and relaxed way. The cabinet wasn't stocked with respected films, it was filled with bargain-bin leftovers.
"I'm sure there are some gems here," Quaid said with optimism, pulling out the first DVD. "It's... Morbius?"
Quaid gave the film more praise than most, calling it "a movie... by definition. I guess I’m adding that to the bag. 'Morbin’ time.''
The actor pulled out the 2024 flop, Madame Web, also getting further than most with it, saying,
"I think I caught half of this on a plane, and then we landed."
For his third pick, Jack Quaid grabbed the ultimate Marvel collector's item.
"Okay, this one is blank. No, it isn't. It's Kraven the Hunter ."
Sony's Spider-Man Villains Universe has not only had one of the most awkwardly named franchises of the 21st century but also some of the worst reviews. This series includes Tom Hardy's Venom trilogy, Morbius, the recently released Kraven the Hunter, and the much-talked-about Madame Web. The franchise has been the target of heavy online criticism.
