Lindsay Lohan ’s Anna Coleman faces wedding preparations with her mom Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis) by her side. Tensions rise as Anna’s daughter (Julia Butters) and her fiancé Eric’s daughter clash — highlighted when Anna’s daughter mocks her vows and calls Lily Davies “a little demon thing with an obnoxious accent.” During a bachelorette party, a fortune teller (Vanessa Bayer) predicts that the step-sisters will be “called to be family” and hints they’ll learn lessons from “walking in each other’s paths.”
Suddenly, lightning strikes twice, causing all four to swap bodies — Anna and her daughter switch places, as do Tess and Lily. Bayer’s voice urges them to “change the hearts you know are wrong” to find where they truly belong. Hilarity ensues as chaos erupts, with Lily (as Jamie Lee Curtis) threatening to “break our parents up for good,” while the original duo aims to reunite Anna with her first love, Jake (Chad Michael Murray).
