Death is back, and it’s as brutal as ever. On February 3, Warner Bros. released the first teaser trailer for Final Destination: Bloodlines, teasing the franchise’s signature elaborate death sequences. One particularly gruesome moment sees a tattoo artist giving himself a 'Dad' tribute before being hung by his nose ring on a ceiling fan and burned alive.
A Return to Death’s Design
After a 14-year hiatus, this installment explores the origins of Death’s eerie system. The synopsis hints at a deeper dive into the sinister forces behind the franchise’s fatal chain reactions.
"Plagued by violent nightmares, college student Stefanie returns home seeking the one person who might help her break the cycle and save her family from an inevitable fate," the logline teases.
New Cast, Familiar Legacy
The film stars Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Rya Kihlstedt, Anna Lore, and Brec Bassinger, alongside Tony Todd, who appears in one of his final performances before his passing in November 2024.
With its twisted fate, over-the-top deaths, and returning legacy, Final Destination: Bloodlines revives the horror franchise. In theaters May 16, 2025.
